LSR Honda 350 Update

Few more things came together this week.  Many more to come.

Big power in a small package!
Bruce scored these ceramic bearings from World Wide Bearings.  When these things start rolling they don't wanna stop!

I cut the junk off the trees and had them powder coated.

Mark at Exotx came through again with this cool Rocker box cover/ head girdle
Front wheel hub assembled
Rear wheel hub also assembled with the sprint car rotor
Custom made Rebel aluminum rear sprocket.  Small means fast!

LSR Honda 350 Update

The past few weeks the LSR Honda has not seen much "physical" progress, but everyone involved in this project has been hard at work.  Donny has the motor blown apart and is working on a deal having pistons made, Josh Shaw is working on an art rendering for us to help show more of what the overall vision is, Bruce has been workin on researching questions and getting deals on parts, Mark Ruberg machined our killer wheel hubs for us and is now working on a custom valve cover/head girdle, Scott at J and M metal finishing has been powder coating parts, and I've been fabing parts and trying to keep the project moving forward.  All these people and more are going to make this record happen!

Figuring out the new swing arm
These will be the end of the "rigid" swing arm that bolts to the frame.  Aluminum inserts to save weight.
I chose "cast iron" for the powder coat color on the wheels.  J and M metal finishing did the coating.
Frame is all cleaned up of unwanted brackets
ARP stainless 12 point nuts and bolts will be used through out.  Super bad ass!

Exotx-American Motorcycle Parts

When it came time to have custom hubs machined for the LSR Honda Kim Tab wheels I contacted a local machinist I know Mark Ruberg of Exotx.  When I have something that needs machined that's out of my basic machine shop skills this is the guy I call.  Marks shop is called Jay Tool, but he started another business called Exotx.  Exotx is a line of custom motorcycle air cleaners, air filter screens, and air filters that have been proven to flow better than a K&N filter.  I hand drew an idea of what I wanted with dimensions and took them to mark.  The front was easy cause it was just going to be a spool, but the rear was a little harder cause I wanted to use a sprint car rotor and the stock CB sprocket bolt pattern.  Mark and I went over my ideas and a few weeks later he made them a reality.  These hubs are exactly what i visioned and are works of art all by them selves!  Stay tuned for pics of them mounted!  Mark Ruberg, 513-353-1245.     mruberg@exotx.com   www.exotx.com

My New Ride

I bought this mini from a friend last week.  My plan is to put this stock motor in the "Mini Rig" frame and sell it.  Then take my big motor and this frame, kind of, and build a new one.  Of coarse this will only take place after the more important LSR Honda is done!
